This year, our dispensers Darren and Simon attended SILMO Paris — the world’s leading eyewear and optics tradeshow — to explore, connect, and curate what’s next in visionary eyewear.

Held annually in Paris, SILMO brings together designers, optometrists, and industry innovators from across the globe. It’s where creativity meets craftsmanship, showcasing the latest in optical design, technology, and trend forecasting.

At this year’s event, Darren and Simon hand-selected new collections from some of our most beloved brands, including Blake Kuwahara, Theo Eyewear, Matsuda, Cutler and Gross, Kuboraum, Movitra, and Jacques Marie Mage. Each brand brought something unique — from architectural acetate silhouettes to refined titanium detailing — ensuring that the coming season at Eyewear Youwear will be one of our most exciting yet.

A special highlight: Simon won a competition held by Ahlem and Proper Goods, earning an unforgettable trip to Paris. While there, he visited the Ahlem flagship store and met the designer herself, Ahlem Manai-Platt, whose thoughtful approach to eyewear continues to inspire both our team and our clientele.

Throughout the week, Darren and Simon networked with independent optometrists and boutique owners from around the world, strengthening relationships with the designers and representatives behind the brands we love. They returned to Sydney energised, inspired, and fully across what’s current and emerging in eyewear and sunglasses right now.
